Dear Parents,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you and your children to Royal Crest International School. We are delighted to have you join our growing school community and look forward to the unique talents, experiences and perspectives that each family brings.
At Royal Crest, we believe that education is about far more than academic achievement. Our purpose is to develop young people of strong character, confidence, integrity and purpose—students who are prepared not only to succeed at university and in their careers, but also to make a meaningful contribution to the communities and world around them.
Our Cambridge education provides a strong academic foundation, but we believe a truly successful education must develop the whole child. Academic excellence, sport, culture, creativity, leadership and innovation all have an important place in the development of a Royal Crest student.
As you become part of our community, you enter into an important partnership between the student, the parent and the school. Each has a role to play. Our teachers are responsible for guiding, challenging and supporting your child; your role as parents is to encourage, support and provide the environment in which your child can thrive; and our students must take ownership of their learning, choices and personal development.
Like every successful partnership, this relationship requires communication, trust and commitment from all three parties.
We expect our students to work hard, respect others, take responsibility for their actions and strive for excellence. We also expect them to participate fully in school life. A student's talents can only truly develop when they are given the opportunity to explore them—whether that is on the sports field, in the arts, through technology and innovation, in leadership or in the classroom.
We therefore encourage parents to become actively involved in their children's education. Attend school events, support their activities, communicate with their teachers and, most importantly, encourage your children to give their best. Your involvement can make a significant difference to their confidence and development.
At Royal Crest, we also see ourselves as a community. We may not always agree, and we certainly will not always be perfect, but we are committed to treating one another with respect, fairness and understanding. We believe that challenges should be addressed constructively and that our shared goal must always be the wellbeing and development of our students.
With this in mind, we encourage parents to communicate openly with the school. If you have a concern about your child, please speak directly with the appropriate member of staff so that we can understand the situation, establish the facts and work together towards a solution.
We also ask that our community uses social media responsibly. Concerns and disagreements are best handled through respectful and appropriate channels rather than through public discussion. We believe in open communication and encourage parents to approach us whenever clarification or assistance is needed.
Most importantly, we ask that we give our children the opportunity to learn from their experiences. We should listen to them, support them and advocate for them, while also allowing them to develop independence, accountability and resilience.
As we begin this journey together, I invite you to embrace what it means to be part of the Royal Crest community. Let us work together to create an environment where every student feels valued, challenged and inspired to reach their potential.
Our ambition is simple: to develop young people who are academically capable, personally confident, socially responsible and ready to make their mark on the world.
We look forward to partnering with you on that journey.
Welcome to Royal Crest International School.
